- FaaastPrep (right number of a's?) works just fine under 2.1. Trust me. I have
- just purchased a 850meg Quantum Trailblazer SCSI drive. If you want, you can
- boot up the GVP disk and prep the drive under 1.3 then boot up 2.1 and do a
- highlevel format using the 2.1 system FORMAT program for the various
- partitions. Faaastprep expects that you have booted from the floppy if you
- want to use the FORMAT option within Faaastprep, but of course once you've
- prepped the drive you can use any high level FORMAT program and its better to
- use the V2.1 program if you want FFS partitions. There are some differences
- between the 1.3 and the 2.X FFS.
-
- You can also use the 2.1 HDPrep but with a GVP card, you need to start it from
- a CLI and use the command >HDPREP GVPSCSI.DEVICE for it to run.
